If he fails to prove his point, he will get a failing grade. His classmates serve as the jury while his professor is the prosecutor. Since he doesn’t want to admit that God is dead, then he should prove to the class the antithesis – God is NOT dead. During their class, Josh, along with his classmates, was asked to write in a piece of paper three simple words, “God is dead” together with their signature.Īs a devout and zealous Christian, Josh Wheaton refused to write the three-word statement.
